time, some lift components need to be modernised. New technology comes

of this can be found in lift controllers and door systems.

large number of breakdowns are attributed to these two items getting old
and worn out, eventually they will reach the point where no more adjustment
can be made and breakdowns become inevitable.
Changing
the controller to a modern micro-processor type and fitting modern non-contact
door safety edges is a simple way of improving lift reliability. Other
items may be changed for different reasons, fashion sometimes dictates
the lift car interior. Another recent change is lowering of landing and
car push stations to make them more accessible.
