Having installed a new lift, or taken over a building with a lift already installed. You have a responsibility to organise regular maintenance, inspections and tests. Here at Cotswold Lifts we operate a service and repair service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We tailor our support to your individual requirements. Low volume of use and we might visit twice a year. Higher usage and we visit can monthly, bimonthly - to suit. We offer two different contracts an Integrated Maintenance contract and a Comprehensive Maintenance contract. Both of these contracts can be used with any type of lift, be it a basic disabled lift to the more unusual such as those in the severe environment of a Radio Mast or a Salt Mine. We have highly trained and motivated engineers strategically placed around the United Kingdom to quickly respond to customers' calls for assistance.
An annual fee covers regular attendance by an engineer who will carry out minor adjustments, lubricate and inspect your lift to keep it working reliably and safely. The cost of any components required and any call-outs due to breakdowns are charged at the current rate.
Again an annual fee covers regular attendance by an engineer, but also covers breakdowns, call-out fees, and components. This type of contract ensures peace of mind and the cost is spread over the year in equal manageable payments. Please note that neither of these contracts cover misuse, abuse or obsolescence. For a year-by-year account of what test and inspections we carry out please go to the Testing Section. If during Testing & Inspection we discover any parts need repair or replacement, we will advise the customer of cost and the urgency of these items. Non-urgent items may wait until the next regular service visit, others may be more urgent or make the lift unsafe to use. This may result in the lift being taken-out of service whilst we carry out essential works. At every step we work to the current safety requirements and liaise with the customer, forwarding quotations for approval before work is commenced.
